TELEMACHUS on Stained Glass Sock - Hand-Dyed Yarn
TELEMACHUS on Stained Glass Sock - Hand-Dyed Yarn
3 in stock
COLORWAY
This colorway was inspired by Telemachus, the son of Odysseus and Penelope who grows more like his father with the help of Athena as The Odyssey progresses. His colors include copper for understanding, turquoise for hope, dark blue for loyalty, purple for royalty, and gray for the sadness he feels at the beginning of the epic.
This is a block variegated colorway with about 3 inches of each color at a time.
YARN BASE
I dyed this colorway on Stained Glass Sock, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. The thing that makes Stained Glass Sock uniquely wonderful is that one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass. Each 100 gram skein has 400 yards.
