When Russia invaded Ukraine, I had plans to dye up one of my regular spring colorways, but I could not stop thinking about the people of Ukraine and the horror that they were and still are experiencing right now.
COLORWAY
I decided to stop everything and dye up a new colorway inspired by the beautiful flower that is their national symbol, the sunflower.
YARN BASE
I used my Twinkle Sock base, which is made of 90% superwash merino and 10% sparkly lurex. It's a lovely base for shawls and cowls and hats.
