COLORWAY This colorway was inspired by a painting of Lois Mailou Jones called Les Vendeuses de Tissue. I left the title in the original French, but it simply means the fabric sellers. Jones was an amazing artist who painted from early childhood until she was in her 90s. She moved to Paris in the 1930s and later married a Haitian artist. She spent many years living in Haiti and painting scenes of everyday life there like this one.
This was my club colorway back in March 2021, and I absolutely adore the vibrant colors!
YARN BASE I dyed it on Squiggle Sock, which is such a fun yarn base made with superwash merino spun in a spiral around a nylon core and with little beehives or slubs every couple feet.

YARN PAIRINGS This would go great with Burgundy Rose, Monarch Butterfly, Sunflower, Matcha Latte, and Freedom Blue.
YARN SWATCH I included a swatch I knit in this colorway to give you an idea of how it can work up, but I knit it on Squoosh Worsted, which is a smooth yarn base.
TIMELINE This yarn is dyed and ready to ship. I ordinarily ship in 1-2 business days.
QUANTITY I show multiple skeins of yarn in my photos so you can see the small differences between each one, but each skein is sold separately.
