COLORWAY This colorway was inspired by a painting of Lois Mailou Jones called Les Vendeuses de Tissue. I left the title in the original French, but it simply means the fabric sellers. Jones was an amazing artist who painted from early childhood until she was in her 90s. She moved to Paris in the 1930s and later married a Haitian artist. She spent many years living in Haiti and painting scenes of everyday life there like this one.
This was my club colorway back in March 2021, and I absolutely adore the vibrant colors!
YARN BASE I dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is perfect for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of extra-soft superwash merino and nylon.

YARN PAIRINGS Les Vendeuses de Tissue would look great with Sunflower, Matcha Latte, Monarch Butterfly, Renaissance Blue, or Burgundy Rose.
YARN SWATCH I have included a sample I knit in this colorway. It should give you an idea of how the colorway will work up, but keep in mind that how it looks will vary a lot depending on the pattern you use and the yarn base as well.
TIMELINE This yarn is dyed and ready to ship. I ordinarily ship in 1-2 business days.
QUANTITY I show multiple skeins of yarn in my photos so you can see the small differences between each one, but each skein is sold separately.
