IT'S COMPLICATED on Sublime Sport - Assigned Pooling Colorway

This is such a fun colorway but one with some meaning too. The idea for this colorway came after taking the time to scroll through my Facebook feed and seeing so many different perspectives about the current situation in the world. There are a few things that are truly "black and white" in this world, but very few indeed. I have found over the years that most things are a little more complicated, and the world would be a better place if we would take the time to listen to different people's perspectives. That's what this colorway is all about.

This would work beautifully with any of Dawn Barker's assigned pooling patterns or my own. The last photo shows The Long Way Round knit up in this colorway.

YARN BASE
I dyed it on Sublime Sport, Sublime Sport--a luxurious non-superwash sport-weight yarn. It's a round three-ply yarn made of 65% super baby alpaca and 17.5 micron merino! Super baby alpaca is the term for the finest alpaca available, and the 17.5 micron merino is the softest I have found--much softer than the standard 21 micron merino. The alpaca makes the yarn extra warm and drapey while the merino provides memory.

This yarn base is excellent for shawls, sweaters, hats, and more. It's also great as warp and weft when weaving. Keep in mind that this is a non-superwash yarn base and should definitely be washed by hand. Like my other non-superwash yarn bases, the colors will be a little more muted on this base.
