COLORWAY Crime and Punishment was inspired by Dostoevsky's famous novel that explores the depths of poverty and sorrow and injustice and, above all, what happens when a person follows Nietzsche's dreadful idea that some men need not follow natural law. Even in this circumstance, however, Dostoevsky shows that redemption is possible.
I hadn't read Crime and Punishment since college and recently "read" it via an audio book, which led me to create this colorway. Naturally it's quite dark, but it has many different colors to represent the many different characters. There's black, gray, dark red, shades of blue, brown, and a touch of green.
YARN BASE I dyed it on Sock Perfection, which is perfect for everything from socks to shawls to sweaters and beyond. It's made of extra-soft superwash merino and nylon.
