When I first started using the Stained Glass Sock yarn base, I loved the idea of creating a collection of butterfly colorways using it, and I've finally done it!
I used the Colorado Hairstreak Butterfly as the inspiration for this colorway. It may have a strange name, but it is certainly a beautiful creature. I included a photo of this beautiful butterfly, which I dyed with assigned pooling in mind.
YARN BASE I dyed this colorway on Stained Glass DK, which is a soft and squishy 2-ply yarn made of 100% superwash merino. Before it's dyed, one ply is made of white wool while the other alternates between black and white, so when I dye the yarn, it looks like leaded stained glass.

YARN PAIRINGS This colorway would look great with the rest of my butterfly collection, including Indian Jezebel, Quino Checkerspot, and Monarch.
TIMELINE This yarn is dyed and ready to ship. I ordinarily ship in 1-2 business days.
QUANTITY I show multiple skeins of yarn in my photos so you can see the small differences between each one, but each skein is sold separately.
