PREORDER FOR THE FOUR SEASONS

This week I created a new colorway set inspired by Vivaldi's Four Seasons and mother nature's as well. This is something I have been wanting to make for a long time, and I'm delighted to finally have it available for you!
The tricky part was creating four colorways that both represent the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter and at the same time look good together. To do that, I kept some colors the same throughout while I changed others from cool spring and summer colors to warm autumn and winter colors. Each color gets more saturated as you go along from spring to summer to autumn to winter. That means this set would look wonderful as a gradient, moving from one colorway to the next.
PATTERN SUGGESTIONS
The Four Seasons does not come with a pattern, but I have a few pattern suggestions that I think would look great with the yarn and show the movement from season to season to good effect:
- Slow Curves by Joji Locatelli (Knitting) - This lovely shawl uses short rows to combine the colors.
- Twenty-Four Birds Shawl by Helen Stewart (Knitting) - This is a gorgeous circular shawl with lots of lace.
- Miss May Shawl by Helen Stewart (Knitting) - This lovely lacy shawl fades from one colorway to the next.
- Rusalka Shawl by Tricia Kopko (Tunisian Crochet) - This beautiful shawl has a more challenging and less challenging version.
- Wrap Around the Town Shawl by Jen Chapman (Crochet) - This lovely crocheted shawl fades from one color to the next.
YARN BASES
I'm limiting this set to my smooth superwash yarn bases because those bases offer the necessary brightness. The pattern suggestions above all call for sock-weight yarn. Slow Curves requires 440 yards for colorway 3, so you'll want Sock Perfection for that one. You can choose from either Sock Perfection or Twinkle Sock for all the other patterns.
I'm also offering the Four Seasons set on Squoosh DK and Squoosh Worsted in case you want to make something cozier and heavier. A Four Seasons blanket could be a delight!
TIMELINE
These will be available to order through the Friday, February 7th, and then I plan to have them dyed and ready to ship to you by February 24th.
